Jenny Burgess is from Sterling, Kansas and grew up on a small hobby farm outside of Sterling. She married Geoffrey Burgess, and they have two kids, Dillan and Jessica. They all reside south of Sterling and farm all dryland Wheat, Corn, Soybeans, and Milo. Jenny co-owns and operates with her husband on their first-generation farm in Reno and Rice Counties. When she isn’t working on the farm, she has volunteered her time on the Reno County Farm Bureau Board for six years and is currently a volunteer for Kansas Common Ground. When there is time, Jenny likes to write for Kansas Living Magazine, AgDaily, AgChat Foundation, Progress section of The Hutchinson News, Pink Tractor Magazine, and her own blog. In 2015 she was a graduate of Leadership KFB class 1, part of Kansas Farm Bureau. It provided her with the skills and experience she needed to become a better community leader.
