Trying Tommies 4-H Group Sweep Ellsworth 4-H Fair Beef Carcass Show

Cousins, Meriah Modrow and Drew Kratzer swept the beef carcass show at the 2018 Ellsworth 4-H Fair in September.

Meriah’s steer, a home raised Angus steer, was Grand Champion Carcass.  She is the daughter of Jacque McCaffery.

Drew, the son of Darin Kratzer, received Reserve Grand Champion Carcass with his home raised Angus steer.

Both were sired by bulls from Green Garden Angus LP located in Ellsworth, Kansas.

The steers were raised on feed purchased from Central Prairie Co-op.

Placing fourth, was a steer from Brady Short, his father Claude, works at the Frederick branch of Central Prairie Co-op.
