CPC Maintenance I Class

New elevator operators with less then 1 year of experience gathered Friday, February 19th at the Main Office in Sterling for the Central Prairie Co-op Maintenance I Class taught by Max Mobley, CPC Operations Manager and Jed Henson, Northern Region CPC Operations Manager.

Maintenance I Class is a basic class that deals with recognizing hazards in grain elevators, feed mills and fertilizer loading locations. During Maintenance I class, elevator operators learn how to recognize failure in bearings, how to properly grease bearings, the significance of thermal imaging in elevators, the importance of using the 5 senses in locating hazards in an elevator and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.

CPC Maintenance I is a prerequisite for CPC Maintenance II.
