The Central Prairie Co-op Hutchinson location held its annual spring open house that brought in over 200+ patrons throughout the day of April 6th. The event ran from 9:00 am till 2:00 pm with lunch of pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad and dessert served at noon.

Customers were able to visit with Craig Krebs from Smartlic, John Junemann from Ultimate Fertilizer, Brian Larson of Rosen’s, Jed Miller of Cenex, Gordon Roth, Verton Miller, Kate Rumford and Laura Kurtz of Central Prairie Co-op. Patrons were encouraged to visit with vendors on a one-on-one basis and ask questions about products.

Every hour drawings for prizes were given. Prizes included oil change pans, Hunter Special dog food, cases of oil, quart bottles of 518 oil, Country Vet cat food and FlaxLic. Central Prairie Co-op also ran in store promotions on bird seed, black oil sunflower seeds and dog food.

KSKU Radio was also on location for a live remote – Central Prairie Co-op staff had the opportunity to talk on the radio and promote the open house. KSKU radio host Chris Shank also interviewed each of the vendors on the radio.
